The 96th Ice Hockey Varsity Match

On Saturday 5th March (end of 7th Week Hilary Term) the oldest rivalry in the history of ice hockey pays its biennial visit to Oxford as the league-leading Oxford Blues take on arch-rivals the Cambridge University Blues in the biggest indoor fixture of the Oxbridge sporting calendar, and one of the biggest varsity fixtures on ice outside of North America.
The Oxford rink is once again expected to reach capacity as crowds cheer on two of the top teams from Division 1 of the British Universities Ice Hockey Association as they go toe-to-toe and battle it out for the Patton Cup in this 96th annual contest, in which Oxford leads the series 63 wins to 30.
Doors open at 7:00pm and the ceremonial puck drop will take place at 7:30pm. There will be a fully licensed bar overlooking the ice open throughout the game, as well as a post-game party for players and fans at a nearby club until 3am.

Tickets cost £10 with £1 from each ticket going to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).
